Asahi Linux on Mac
As a proud owner of a high-end #MacBookPro, I've always been more than content with the seamless integration of Apple's software and hardware. However, life often throws curveballs, and I recently found myself in a situation where I needed to dive into the world of #Linux for a specific project.
With this unexpected twist in my tech journey, I embarked on a quest across the vast expanse of the internet to find a viable solution. Here's a brief rundown of what I encountered along the way:
1. Parallels
Initially, I had a subscription to Parallels, a powerful virtualization software. However, my subscription had just expired, and I wasn't inclined to renew it since I hadn't been making the most of its capabilities. I was on the lookout for something fresh.
2. VirtualBox
Unfortunately, I hit a roadblock here. VirtualBox, a well-known virtualization tool, doesn't quite play nice with Apple Silicon processors, which made it a no-go for my current setup.
3. Swift Virtual Machine

I decided to give it a whirl, and it turned out to be everything I had envisioned. It seamlessly reconfigured my hard drive, efficiently claimed the resources it required, and most importantly, it recognized my hardware flawlessly. It proved to be the perfect solution for my needs, and I couldn't be happier with how it transformed my MacBook Pro into a versatile machine.
